Nadezhda V. Zlobina, Doctor of Engineering, Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Marine Technology Problems (IMTP) of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS).
In 1975, she graduated from the Department of Radio Electronics and Instrumental Engineering of the V.V. Kuibyshev Far Eastern Polytechnic Institute, majoring in underwater acoustics and ultrasonics. In 1992, she joined the Department of Applied Underwater Acoustics, IMTP FEB RAS, as a Research Scientist, and since 2004 she has been a Scientific Secretary. In 2003, she received a Ph.D. degree in Technical Sciences with a dissertation "Development of alternative models and research of sound fields in an underwater waveguide with impedance border," In 2013, she received a degree of Doctor of Engineering.
The area of research interest of Zlobina N.V. is related to the simulation of sound processes in the Ocean. A significant number of her works are dedicated to studying normal waves in waveguide systems of different complexity, the theory of directional radiation and reception in underwater acoustic waveguides, analysis of energetic transducers' energetic parameters, studying resonance processes in models of shore wedge waveguides. A detailed investigation of the wave processes on the border "seawater-sea bottom" is a piece of interest for solving many applied tasks involved in developing and implementing technical means operation near the sea bottom. The latest scientific results of Zlobina N.V. are related to studying the scalar-vector structure of sound fields and underwater acoustic vector receivers' implementation.
The main results of the research are published in more than 150 works, including five monographs. Currently, Zlobina N.V. is a member of the organization committee of the All-Russian Scientific and Technical Conference "Technical problems of the World Oceans Exploration," held by IMTP FEB RAS. (h-indexes: WoS – 1, RSCI –7).
