The Journal "Underwater Investigations and Robotics" publishes research articles and reviews, problem-touching and polemic materials on ocean research and development methods and techniques including underwater vehicles, ways of underwater and sea bottom investigations, ecology and water environment monitoring, marine expeditions, underwater search works, deep-water tests and technical experiments. If you want to have your article published in the Journal you must follow the editorial guidelines.
Article materials must correspond to the remit of the Journal "Underwater Investigation and Robotics" and present new research results not published earlier and not intended for publication in other printed or electronic editions.
Manuscripts must be sent by e-mail in electronic form or presented as material data. The expert evidence recommending to publish the manuscripts in public media and complete contact details on authors (the surname, first name and patronymic, graduate degree and academic rank, name of the employer, position, employers address, office phone number, fax, e-mail) are to be enclosed.
The manuscript content should not exceed 15 pages. In some cases the editors admit increasing the volume to 20 pages. The editorial board recommends to include titles and subtitles reflecting the items of the article.
The volume of the resume must be at least 150 words.
The authors of the articles submit the following information to the editorial office of the journal: last name, first name, patronymic, position, academic degree, academic title, area of scientific interests, e-mail address, ORCID.
The manuscript consists of two parts:
I. Russian language part:
- UDC code (see Reference Universal Decimal Classification)
- Title of the article.
- Surnames and initials of the authors
- Abstract should be structured as follows: timeliness of the topic, purpose, materials and methods, results and conclusions. The summary should correspond to the article contents completely. The text volume should not exceed 250 words
- Keywords. It is necessary to point out 3 to 10 keywords to provide the article indexing in search systems.
- Full text of the article (in Russian) should be divided into sections. The structure of the manuscript should correspond to the standard pattern and contain the following sections: introduction (timeliness), the purpose and problems, materials and methods, results, conclusions.
- The text is to be typed in Microsoft Word (font 12, Times New Roman, single line spacing, no word breaking, fields - 20 mm, text justification).
- All graphic illustrative materials (drawings, etc.) are to be presented as separate files of standard graphical formats, either coloured or black-and-white. All illustrations should be accompanied by corresponding descriptions and the designations explaining their essence, details and relation to the article text.
- For formulas you may use two different formats: MathType for complex symbols and Word for simple symbols. Taking into account the specific features of the journal format you should avoid abnormally long mathematical expressions and cumbersome schemes, schedules, tables, etc.

- Thanks. Authors can express gratitude to persons and organizations contributing to the article publication on condition they are not co-authors.
- References. References to literature are to be given in the text according to GOST 7.0.5-2008
II. English part:
- Title of the article. The English-Language title should correspond to the Russian-Language one.
- Names of the authors. You should use transliteration standards BGN/PCGN to write the authors surnames and initials (see http://ru.translit.ru/?account=bgn.).
- Employer. ou should put the legal English-Language name of your institution. The in-depth catalogue of institutions including their legal English-Language names is available at the site of SEL eLibrary.ru
- Abstract. The English variant of the abstract must completely correspond to the Russian one in matter and structure.
- Key words. English keywords should correspond to Russian ones.
- References. he literature list is to be transliterated (written in Latin alphabet) and duplicated in English. Transliteration should be done according to the standard BGN/PCGN recommended by the International Publishing House Oxford University Press as the British Standard (see http://ru.translit.ru/?account=bgn.). Technical abbreviations (number, volume, page, etc.) must correspond to generally accepted standards (number - N., volume - V., pages - P. etc.).
All the articles undergo the obligatory peer- reviewing. The editors are authorized to reject an article without discussing the reasons and to send it back for the author to improve.
